Father Thomas presents a historically accurate and informative description of the life and experiences of the early Jesuit Missionaries of North America. In his "persona", Father Thomas has been assigned to the Mission of St. Espirit working with the Indians at La Pointe on the Chequamegon Bay. He has traveled widely throughout the western region of New France spreading the word of God to the natives of the region and ministering unto the needs of those Christians he comes across in his travels. All presentations are done in an entertaining "first person" style that will maximize the audiences' participation and sense of realism. Please step back in time and visit with this early explorer, adventurer, and Missionary of God.

Father Thomas is the first person historical persona created by Fr. Thomas Fern over the past 20+ years. Tom is an ordained clergyman and professional educator holding advanced degrees in the fields of history, guidance and counseling, and school administration. Tom worked in the field of education for over 30 years. He taught every grade level from kindergarten though the college level. Currently, Tom serves as the Executive Director for the Habitants of New France, Inc. and as the Site Director at the Fort Bon Secours reenactment site. Tom is involved in developing various techniques for the use of first person historical interpretation as a means of teaching history.
